Link to Mary's website On Heightened AlertCancer is your shadow if it ever comes your way You're never truly alone, after diagnosis day. You notice little things you never noticed before Because Cancer brings you closer to being at heavens door. Any unusual appearance of something on your skin You immediately call your Doctor, whose become your best friend. You notice imperfections that you never knew you had And you jump to conclusions that all of it is bad. You know you shouldn't worry, it's not the thing to do Cause worry causes Stress and that's so bad for you. But you know you're all alone with what you call Big C And you keep asking the big question, "what will it do to me." Don't jump to conclusions and don't let it get you down Be strong and positive and let your cross become your crown. Mary West....written November 14, 2004
